'As it is crucial to integrate nature with health, the Medicity has been located adjacent to the restricted PLPA land. A total area of 350 acres has been marked for the Health Zone out of which 100 acres has already been acquired by GMADA under 100% Land Pooling , thereby making the farmers as the stakeholders and none of the farmers have been uprooted. Land owners of Medicity would be allotted residential and commercial plots/sites in Eco City as per their entitlement under the land pooling scheme. The remaining 260 acres is being acquired. Out of the already acquired 100 acres, 50 acres of land has been allotted for the development of the Tata Cancer Hospital, work on which is underway. Civil works are in progress at the site and target is to finish the project by 2015. The project so completed would provide facilities for clinical research, training and education.
